Nov. 1, 3 pm. Renee Taylor: My Life on a Diet: This TV and Broadway star does stand up about the hilarious diets that have guided the her life throughout the majority of her 60-year career.

Nov. 2, 7 pm. 1915 Panama Pacific Expo: Learn about the Panama Canal and check out Matthew Model Flats, architectural gems that are found in Ridgewood and Woodside.

Nov. 6-11, times vary. 13th Annual NY Korean Film Festival: Nine films in the crime thriller, romantic fantasy, and feverish erotica genres. Guest producers/directors on some dates.

Nov. 7, 2:30 pm. Rhythm Meets Gospel: A collaborative effort featuring African-Latino rhythms from the Caribbean joined with Gospel to create a musical extravaganza.

Nov. 7 & Nov. 141:30 & 3:30 pm. Make it: Youngsters enjoy a lesson on how to make their own short animations using different stop motion techniques.

Meet Mr. Met! FIRST FAMILY DAY @DIVERSITY PLAZA:

JACKSON HEIGHTS — The National Dance Institute will perform and teach moves along with other live acts at this weekend's Family Day at Diversity Plaza.
Face painting, a bounce house and health screenings are expected throughout the day, which begins at noon on Sept. 26 with a performance by Ajna Dance, which specializes in Bollywood and Bhangra dance. 
Deum Band performs at 12:30, and at 1 p.m. the New York Tibetan Service Center will perform a cultural dance.
There's free Zumba at 1:30 p.m. and Mr. Met will arrive at 2:30 p.m. for photos.
At 3:30 p.m., National Dance Institute will perform and teach moves to families. 
Their demonstration is funded by the Tiger Baron Foundation and National Plaza Partnership, which helps Diversity Plaza. 
The Diversity Plaza Family Day is sponsored by Friends of Diversity Plaza, Sukhi, local elected officials and more.
